Very Strange Problem of my sata drive

MadCentury

Hi

I have a brand new Supermicro workstation board. installed with 128GB DDR5 RAM, 1 Old Sata mechanical drive ( Western Digital Black, 500GB), 2 Crucial 4T Sata SSD, Corsair 850E. it been running fine about 2 months and suddenly it cant be power on anymore. motherboard show no power at all, i replaced with Gigabytes 850W power supply (took from my gaming pc). i can see the motherboard LED is blinking and i m able to power on. after few second my old mechanical Sata drive start to smoke and i off the power supply immediately, i replaced the burned mechanical drive with my other mechanical sata drive and it keep burned. totally i burned 4 mechanical Sata drive. but very strange is i use the same power cable, same Sata cable plugged to my Sata SSD with the same sata port at the mother board and it all working fine. system bootup without issue, anyone have idea? it seem the problem only affected Sata mechanical drive
