Surveillance Internal Hard Drives (HDD) for PC Usage : Are They Worth Considering?

I am curious about whether surveillance HDDs can serve as a viable option for general PC usage and regular storage needs, due to their affordability compared to regular HDDs.
Has anyone had experience using surveillance storage disks as regular storage units? Additionally, can they be utilized effectively for cold storage purposes?
