newegg or amazon

Go to solution Solved by RONOTHAN##,

Amazon, it's not even close. For them you just have to hit a button in the app and say if you'd rather ship it back or drop it off at your nearest Kohl's, even with 3rd party sellers (they might need to still be shipped from Amazon to do the super easy returns though, I haven't had to return something sold and shipped by a 3rd party so don't really know). Newegg is pretty infamous for having some pretty bad customer service as of recently, see Gamer's Nexus:

From what I've heard they've gotten better, but they're still not on par with Amazon.

which one is better for customer service in case i have to rma anything

you dont need an aio for anything but i9 cpus or heavy oc jobs just get an nh-d15 or peerless assassin

MARK THE SOLUTION AS SOLUTION

100% Amazon. 500% Amazon, actually. Maybe infinity% Amazon.

Newegg is a pain in the ass.

I ordered many of my parts from Newegg years ago and didn't have any issue getting anything. The caveat here is that I didn't have to worry about returns or RMA's which is where Amazon shines here. I would ONLY choose Newegg if it was a significant deal that Amazon wouldn't be able to compete with -- which is extremely unlikely.

Newegg gets really shady when you start dealing with refurbished and open-box items. I haven't had an issue with them on new stuff, at least not that I can remember, but the couple of times I've bought a refurb from them and it's had issues, it's been a battle to get them to honor their own GDMF warranty and return period.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
