So, my build is a Ryzen 5 3600, 16g ram, and an RTX 3070. My main monitor is 1440p at 144hz with 2 additional monitors at 1080p 60hz. When I play games, primarily warzone 2.0, I average about 55fps which I believe is concerningly low. I have played with every other monitor unplugged, lowered my resolution, closed every other application, but the frame rates stays consistently low. All my drivers are updated, my boot drive is an nvme ssd and is also where Warzone 2.0 is located. When watching performance in task manager my GPU utilization stays rather low, but my CPU utilization is not maxed out either. My refresh rate is correct, I do not have Vsync on and I am utterly perplexed at why my system is performing so subpar.

These are my UserBenchmarks results:

UserBenchmarks: Game 112%, Desk 84%, Work 106%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 - 74.4%
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 - 151%
SSD: WD Black SN750 NVMe PCIe M.2 500GB (2019) - 213%
HDD: Hitachi Deskstar P7K500 500GB - 49.5%
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB - 68.1%
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3200 C16 2x8GB - 66.8%
MBD: Asus ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II

I enabled XMP or DOCP and got this the second time I ran it:

UserBenchmarks:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 - 84.2%
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 - 151.7%
SSD: WD Black SN750 NVMe PCIe M.2 500GB (2019) - 193.2%
HDD: Hitachi Deskstar P7K500 500GB - 24.6%
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB - 35.5%
USB: General USB Flash Disk 16GB - 8.4%
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3200 C16 2x8GB - 87.3%
MBD: Asus ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II

Any idea what could be wrong? I don't think there is that extreme of a CPU bottleneck.

Its not a huge one actually, and if their playing at 1440p it should be perfectly fine

Have you tried using DDU? And is this happening in any other games?

What is DDU?

And in games like minecraft, where I used to get around 300-400 FPS uncapped I'm now averaging 70-80 with lows down to 40 and highs up to 180. I have not changed anything about my computer and have just returned from college find worse performance in my desktop 3070 than my laptop with a 3060 lol.

What are your temps? And your power? In game of course

Its a driver uninstaller. used to go back on other drivers. I only say it because I think there was a problem with the latest driver

Here's where you download it Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.0.6.4 (guru3d.com)

And here's how to use it

Im not sure what you mean by power, but ryzen master says 11.9w and I stay at 65c for temp and 3800mhz-ish. For my GPU I stay at 55C. While in game my CPU utilization stayed around 30%, GPU around 20% and ram at 73%. While playing though I was averaging 80fps which is remarkably better, yet not great, having changed nothing, besides not being on discord. Furthermore, it turns out warzone is not on my ssd but rather my hdd which was maxed out at 100% utilization, would that cause my frame issues? I am going to transfer the game over to my SSD while im at work and test it again when I get home.

for the gpu i mean. You can monitor it by getting msi afterburner and applying the on screen display accordingly

yes that could be a reason why, how big is your ssd and can you install warzone on there?

This was in warzone, I have afterburner and will test it with that after work when it has transferred to my ssd, since I have enough space.

that seems like concerningly low gpu utilization in warzone. Or was this after tabbing out to check in task manager?

Ok, so switching back to 1440p with the game on my SSD I was averaging around 80FPS with lows of 72 and highs of 86, so it is definitely more stable but still underperforming. my CPU utilization stayed at around 45%, GPU at about 25% and ram at  about 75%. This was with me watching the utilization on  my second monitor while still in game.

Warzone doesn't use more threads so 40-60% (Depending on background load) is about what you are going to get. It's not a GPU issue. If you feel like you should get more frames, it's the CPU you have to look at.

Is an unfortunate conclusion, but you are probably right.

Since you have a 3600 I would suggest either a 5600 or 5800X3D

It might be a vram issue tho. Try turning on the in game overlay with the vram utilization on and say what it is

You should be getting low to mid 100fps with that card at 1440p,  and it should be pegged at 95+% utilization. Something is limiting your frame rate on the GPU.

You can test if you are cpu bound by down clocking the cpu. Something like a 20% drop in clock speed will show a meaningful difference if it’s the cpu.
