Budget (including currency): 3500 +- cad for the pc

Country: Canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Photo stacking and processing for astrophotography programs Pixinsight Gimp Games; DCS, Elite Dangerous. Maybe MS Flight sim

Other details I have a Corsair Edge 850w,AMD 7950x,MSI S360 AIO,011 Dynamic XL,2X32g DDR5 5200mhz

I will need to replace my old EVGA 1080 FTW  and my ASUS pb287. About the monitor I'm thinking 165mhz is fast enough without sacrificing too much detail.

I am leaning toward the MSI Carbon 670e for a MB . The ASUS Proart didn't work. SUPRISE!

Any help/advice would be nice especially with the graphics card.

Whats wrong with it? Itll be fine for photo processing unless youre working with high color depth and high resolution.

I think OP is also looking to play some games as well.

If I'm not mistaken, an Nvidia GPU may be better suited for photography programs over AMD. I haven't caught up much recently so please correct me if I'm wrong.

There is nothing wrong with it at all for photo processing. It is however limited as far as playing the games I like.

DCS framerate is pretty poor and I want to see what ultra settings are like.
