PC has either a cpu or dram issue

TheHambone

I am running a ryzen 5 5600x + an msi b550-a-pro + 2x8gb of ram, with both sticks of ram in, it powers on but gives a cpu light.

I tried everything I could find to try to troubleshoot;

making sure all cables are plugged in, checked for bent pins, reset bios, updated bios)

Whenever I tried to boot with only one stick, the light changed from cpu to dram.

I tried both sticks in all of the slots but it only gives the dram light when one of the sticks, but not the other is in the second slot.

I've tried everything I could find but nothing worked, it's starting to drive me crazy.

Did you try a single stick of known working RAM ( not yours ) in every slot?

It's a bit confusing what you are saying here. But if is RAM or Dead Memory channel it should boot in one of 4 slots. If not , it is issue with cpu/mobo.
