I have a Corsair h45 aio, even while sitting idle my cpu temps hover around 37-41 degrees Celsius with my r5 5600 on idle but rpm is 1600 and it's considerably loud, on forza 5, Doom Eternal or while hosting Minecraft my temps dont go over 60 degrees Celsius but as i said even on idle it's loud and while playing games it's even louder so i was thinking of changing the fan but don't know what would be a good choice, i looked at nf f-12 ind. app. 3000 but i don't understand the math around this stuff, it has a higher static pressure but max db is also very high compared to mine so... Any recommendations? I'm putting the included fan's specs and the one I'm thinking of buying.

If you're going to look at 3000 RPM, you should be looking at the T30.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

Yeah sound profile of a fan does correlate with how fast they spin but only within that one single fan model. a 2000rpm fan of model A can be quieter or lower pitched than a 1000rpm fan of a model B for example.

I thought having higher static pressure was important for a radiator fan, wouldn't that make the nf f-12 a better choice against T-30, also the t30 is 30mm so it would probably hurt my rear exhaust fan's performance

The T30 is newer and better than the NF-F12 across the board.

Have you tried lowering fan speeds?
