Hello, I need some advice on a strange problem. I upgraded a lot of things on my old computer: Rayzen 5500 processor, GTX 1660 super gaming x and SSD 1T. The old components are: Gigabyte AX370-Gaming 5 with updated BIOS F51g, to support the processor, RAM Corsair Vengeance 2*8gb 3200, power supply Corsair 750i gold and HDD 1T. One of the things I did was backup the C: drive with Acronis, and restore it to the SSD, and now it's booting from it, and the rest of the stuff is still on the HDD.

The problem is that out of nowhere the screen goes black, loses signal and I can't turn it off, the buttons on the PC case don't respond, as well as on the motherboard, the fans work, the motherboard lights up, the only way to turn it off is from the cable or the power supply button. Since I did a lot of things, I don't know where it came from, the new processor, video card, BIOS, or is it this Windows move. My reasoning is that if it was Windows, at least the buttons would work so I could turn it off. Don't now what is it, I want to fix it and play games. Please help

You have significantly altered your PC but you're still using the windows that was customized for the old components. You should have installed Windows onto the SSD and gotten all the drivers. You could try an "in- place" installation. Get Windows Media Tool and the ISO of the Windows version you have (both from the Microsoft website), then run the installer from windows.  When you're done, make sure to install all of the drivers and programs that you need. That should fix it.  If not, then you'll need to do a fresh install of Windows using the same stuff but installed on a USB drive or DVD.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

Thanks, my thoughts is, if it was from Windows, I will be able to turn it off from the buttons, or I'm wrong, can it be the BIOS doing this big crash, that i can't turn off the PC. I will try reinstall windows but is so hard with the softwares and settings, it's disaster for me 😞
