gprox superlight or g304/305 lightspeed? pls help i need a mouse as my current one died edit:while we're at it, what's a good Keyboard?

Indian pc builder
Go to solution Solved by 191x7,

I upgraded from a G305 to a G Pro X Superlight.

The G305 is a fine mouse IF you use a Lithium AAA battery inside an AAA to AA adapter, and if you add grip tapes to the mouse.

Then it's about 80g and quite usable. A Lithium battery AAA lasted me from 3 to 4 months, so 3-4 batteries a year.

I had a G305 double-click after a year and I got a warranty replacement. The second one lasted 2+ years and still works.

The G Pro X superlight is on a higher level. The weight decrease actually matters a lot. But the shape requires some getting used to after the G305.

It is a better mouse. I bought mine in a sale for 110€. It's not worth the usual price of  150€ it goes for.

The G502 weighs like 2 to 3 mice. Avoid for any competitive gaming.

ok so the 304 is significantly cheaper but the superlight is better, question is are the improvements of the superlight worth the 50 usd price difference :

differences:

superlight   304

25k sensor   12 k sensor

60ish grams     100 ish grams

same amount of buttons i think

which one if im playing valoran t but also defenitely doing productivity tasks

also is the g502 in the running, due to its overpriced nature and supreme heaviness?

pls help

edit : What about a regular gpro wireless?

edit: what's a good logitech keyboard that can be paired with any of these mice? i was thinking about the g512? anyone else suggest something else

Imagine everything i have written in a Linus Voice/ linus tone (Spock live long and prosper gif here ,idk why tho, i guess i just want to say that i like star trek and am waiting for new seasons of the ongoing shows), But seriously, a lot of what i type only makes sense when said in a Linus tone from an older ltt video (circa 2017-2019 & now 2024-onwards) basically before he got a beard and a lot of it should make sense even in a Linus with a beard face.

also note as per the latest typing test on my laptop, my accuracy is 69%

The G Pro X Superlight still uses a micro usb and costs like 120$. It's pathetic. I'd rather have a AA

The G502 is 100g. Where do you get 2-3 mice from?

114g + optional weight.

57g x2.

There are gaming mice lighter than 60g. And there's HSK which is way lower than that.

G502x is completely different mouse, while the G502 lightspeed can be opted up to 114. But either way, its just way too damn heavy for Valorant.

It’s not? Quite literally an updated g502 hero. Same Hero 25K sensor, upgraded switches for L/R, very similar if not same shape, same button position and amount of buttons, same free spinning and stepped scroll wheel, lighter build and updated design.

as fun as this argument is, the purpose of this post is first to figure out which mouse would be recommended for the use case of the OP, and everyone agrees that the g502 is indeed to heavy

the question is g304 for 3000inr or the gprox superlight for 13000inr or the gpro wireless for 10500inr?

PS: pls continue the arguement about the g502 as its fun for me to read

while we're at it what's a good keyboard and a good webcam?

The question becomes can you afford that much of a price spike? GPX would be the best out of all of these but if you cant afford it then G305 suffices by a long mile. Also, maybe youd want middle ground? Check out prices for Razer Deathadder V3 Wired, G-Wolves Hati and Skoll lineup, and Zowie wireless line. Also Pulsar Xlite and X2.

For the former, i really dislike Logi's keyboard lineup besides G610 with Cherry MX, because everything there is straight up proprietary top-down. not just your average gaming keyboard woes of non standard bottom row limiting keycap upgrades, but wider housing that breaks compatibility with a cherry keycap, different stem, and also aformentioned non standard bottom row. Whats your keyboard market looks like for Akko, Keychron, Asus, and Razer?

For webcam im not the best to ask because my range of recommendation is C920 or insta360 Link.

I can afford it but the question there is one

of wether I should buy it and as @191x7 pointed out, the aaa in a converter makes the weight of the g304 much more palatable for significantly cheaper

as for the question about the Kay board market, I’m open to looking for other brands though you may want to limit the options to things available in India, just a quick google will help you figure out the f your suggestion will work for me

this is also important as you might suggest a 60usd keyboard and it’ll cost me twice that with VAT, import duties and corruption to get it in India

Asus, and razer, from the ones you mentioned have a presence in India

Alrighty then, that makes thing easier. Compare the price between the G pro keyboards with these:

  1. ROG Falchion line
  2. ROG Flare line
  3. ROG Azoth
  4. Razer Deathstalker V2
  5. Razer Huntsman V2 (both Optical and Analog version)

These sits in similar prices ranges from one and another and it would be a bit of an upgrade in featuresets or performance. Except for the Razers, theyre also more standard than Logitech so keycap replacement isnt impossible.

i have personally use g102, g304, and recently switch to g pro x

i would say that unless you want a light mouse then just go for the g304, or if you really dont mind the cable or just dont want to go wireless g102 is already really good.

g102 is really good its very cheap, very accurate and while not very light, its also not that heavy (at least how i feel) the cable also fine, i never feel that the cable is in the way when going back to g102 after using g304 for years

g304 is just upgraded g102 with no cable and better sensor, its good if you dont want to have extra wire and being able to move freely also its not that more expensive

g pro x from my experience so far is that its lighter, yes the sensor is better but im not very good at game either so i cant tell the difference and i use finger tip grip and g pro x definitely easier to use since i have more surface to put my finger on do mind that my hand is quite big

Before I forget, If, say I never wanted to replace any key caps, is there a good logi keyboard you could recommend that feels good to type on for long durations and slip in a bit of gaming later on? Maybe something with a brown switch

Youll inevitably break some, but if you do want some recommendations ignoring that check out the Logitech line thats not Romer G.
