Desktop Icons

I have had a quick look and could not find anything, but I am looking for an application that allows easy hiding and un-hiding of the desktop icons, be it through a button on the taskbar or a keyboard shortcut, or something of the sorts.

I have had rainmeter before an a theme I had did this, but using lots of resources, this is on my laptop that's why rainmeter is not an option.

 

Any ideas welcome

I had no idea this existed, then again my desktop is full of random crap that i've downloaded. I just have all my programs pinned to the taskbar.

I was just wondering if something like this did exist, as I find the icons annoying sometimes

Fences can do that, I believe.

My friend uses a program that will hide everything on his desktop if he hits a keyboard shortcut. He's not on Steam atm and I can't remember the program name, so I'll edit it in soon.

 

EDIT: @Russboy360 The program is called Fences. Apparently you have to pay for v2.0 and later, but if you download an older version (pre-2.0) it's free.
