PC will only turn on if I unplug CPU power cable.

absenn

Hi.

Just like in the title.

I've been using this PC with 7600X CPU for 3 months now untill it randomly turned off while gaming. It doesn't respond to me pressing power button, unless I disconnect the CPU power cable. If I do it that way it just spins the fans and stays that way, CPU doesn't get warm.

I also removed CPU and reseatted it, unplugged every component one by one and then tried to power on. That's how I ended up with this scenario that I mentioned in the title.

This is not the first place where I ask for help so please don't tell me to check the cables... I did that 4 times already. I albo changed the CPU power cable and used different correctly labeled socket on the PSU.

Sorry If that sounded mean but I'm just tired and annoyed at this point.

Other notable components are:

RX6800XT

Asrock B650M PG Riptide

Kingston Fury 16GB 6000 MT/s

Seasonic Focus GX-750 Gold

I have no idea If I am able to fix it on my own and basically at this point I just want to make sure which part should I RMA.

I'm going to RMA both motherboard and CPU. I think it's CPU's fault but don't want to wait for new CPU to find out that motherboard is frying it.

Will post again when it's working again. Hopefully soon...

Sounds like motherboard is toast.

If I remove CPU PC doesn't turn on at all.

But if it's faulty mobo why are the fans spinning and GPU lights up aswell?

Also it might be worth to mention that ever since I got this PC boot times were long (idk if it tried to retrain memory during each boot) and error diodes on the mobo showed that there might be something wrong with CPU. But it eventually boot up so I thought that it's "new AMD platform issue" and it is an "early adopter tax".

It was but if you had been keeping up with BIOS updates you probably would have seen that improving.
