The only thing I'm really missing is a quality monitor! And the problem is, I know nothing about monitors other than resolution. I want to keep my budget for it around $200, and hopefully learn some things about monitors if anyone feels like giving a small lesson. So, any recommendations?

Generally, IPS is the best panel to have on a gaming monitor for color representation. 60hz plus is a good range to have the monitor at, and 22" at 1080p is perfect. I will do some looking around for the best monitor in yur budget.

The AOC i2267Fw and the i2367Fh are great monitors for the price, and have a thin bezel

There are three panel types worth worrying about.

TN Panels generally have low response times (as low as 1ms), allowing for the least gameplay lag. Yet, the colors are normally dull and viewing angles (angle viewing monitor before discoloration occurs) is normally quite low.

VA Panels have vibrant, true to life colors, but normally suffer from slow response times (up to 14ms+), making gameplay lag an issue (but it's not really a big issue). And the viewing angles are generally very wide.

IPS Panels are the best of both worlds. They have vibrant colors and decently low response times (around 5-8ms) If you are looking for a monitor, you should probably go IPS.

I recommend the AOC i2367fh or the Acer H236HLbid. They are both very good 23 inch IPS monitors.

From the looks of things, the AOC i2367fh seems to be the winner. Thanks guys! Who knows how lost I'd be without this forum lol. I think that's the last thing on my checklist, so hopefully I'll have this thing done and posted up by the end of the year.

Also, thank you Tea and TheSLSAMG for the quick lesson.
