Keyboard suggestions

Athen

Hey so been struggling a wee bit with keyboards for the last few years and been replacing one after the other.

Basically I am looking for suggestions here perhaps something where you are able to switch out both caps and switches would be ideal for my use case as that seems to be a place where mine have failed and been unable to switch them out.

any suggestion is very welcome

do you want wired or wireless? if you want wired i would either cheap out on keychrons v series or go big on their q series of hefty custom boards, or if you like the option of wireless while still wanting that premium feel, the k pro series is very nice. you can even get any of these the series' options as barebones, with only the base, allwoing you to pick out switches and keycaps based on your own personal tastes. https://www.keychron.com/collections/custom-keyboards all of these boards will be hotswap capable (meaning you can switch out the switches) and have foam and other fancy bits and bobs to make them sound as nice as possible. if your into gaming tho, be warned that while over a wired conncetion, the K pro (and the v and q boards for that matter) can do 1000 hz polling rate, for the k pro (the only  full custom lineup by keyychron with wireless besides q pro and regular k series boards), that polling rate drops to only 90 hz over bluetooth. The v series will be the cheapest out of these options, around $85 on average for prebuilts, while the q series can be well withing the $200 us range. the k pro boards hover around the $110 range fully assembled.

lmk if you need anymore help!

Spaghet rat thank you so very much sat here all morning reading up on that keyboard you linked to, it does indeed seem to have everything I am looking for.

I was hoping for wireless but did not particularly mention that because I can live without but when I do game it's mostly rpg style single player so the speed is not a factor for me.

However the keychron seems to have gotten the concept right, simple board with all the bells and whistles inside of it.

Just ordered my first one if it meets expectations will get for the rest of the family as well.

thank you for taking the time.
