Computer Shutdown

Go to solution Solved by Enderman,

Try a different power supply to see if the issue persists. There is also a possibility it is the motherboard, but it doesn't hurt to double check all the cables and connectors, ram, and wall socket :)

I just built a new rig with a 4770k, ax1200i, 2x msi gtx 780 oc, maximus vi formula, 16gb 1866 dominator platinum and an intel 520 256gb ssd (Windows 7) and I was planning on watercooling everything but it seems that an issue has come up. Without notice, my system will shut down with no error or blue screen and the power supply will stop providing stable power (it shuts off and turns on continuously until I shut it off with the switch) basically it doesn't stay on long enough to post. The only way to get it to post and load windows again is to shut it off and wait for a few seconds, then turn it back on again. I was wondering if this might be a faulty power supply? I don't think it is temperatures because I have told the bios to not preform temperature safety shutdowns and I have also forced a max clock of 3.5 ghz on the cpu (I am currently running stock cooler however). Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Alright, let the troubleshooting begin!
