HI. I am having an issue regarding high cpu usage specifically in valorant. this does not happen to any of my other games.

its annoying because it causes terrible micro stutters every few seconds, making it very unplayable.
I already did tried uninstalling the game a couple of times already, but still the same result.

I really would appreciate the help. Thanks.

System:

AMD Ryzen 5 2600x

16GB TeamGroup T-force @3000MhZ

3x 1 TB HDD

1SSD OS

A few questions:

Do you have the latest AMD chipset drivers installed?

Is your motherboard using the latest BIOS?

Is your memory configuration 2x8GB in dual channel or a single 16GB stick?

Is Valorant on your SSD or one of the HDDs?

Assuming you are running around a lot in Valorant, having it on a HDD could be an issue if the game is constantly trying to load in data for other areas. If you can run the game with a monitor open that shows the HDD usage of the drive it's on, I'd recommend taking a look at that and seeing if the drive is getting maxed out when these stutters happen. If so, your CPU is going to burn cycles waiting on data from it.

What graphics card do you have? And what settings are you using for the game?

I actually thought that it was the HDD that is having a bottleneck, but I only get around 0-2% of usage when in game. i am using AMD Radeon Rx570 Sapphire 4g.
i always play on everything low.
