I am just curious at this question can i use a different brand of ram from an old on for example currently i have 2 corsair vengence rgb pros and i want to another stick of ram and i want some g skill ram everything the same include the mhz and cl timings are the same just a different brand how much performance will i lose or is it not compatible

there shouldn't be a problem then and you shouldn't lose too much performance (unless the subtimings are slightly different) your faster ram will just be hooked to your slowest rams speed and timings

So if i bought another stick with the same 3600 mhz and cl18 its ok if its a different brand i would just get a slight loss of performance

if its the same speed the latency may be ever so slightly worse (because of the slightly changed subtimings
