Laptop Cooling Suggestions?

Are peltier or thermoelectric coolers like this or this actually effective? Are there any better solutions to lower temperatures without using liquid metal?

yes and no. the best way to lower temps is to rase the back of you laptop a few inches so it has room to breath

raising the laptop by using a book or a piece of block to raise the back is the best, because it give the laptop bigger breathing area. but if you really want a external cooler for your laptop something like this or this would work well

Jarrod's tech has a good video reviewing all cooler, and to be honest the only difference from one to another are the build quality, the noise it makes, and how it looks.
