I recently bought a Radeon 6800XT, and am wondering what the "safe" temperature is? At idle, when not gaming it's temperature is typically between 45-55 C. However, under load when gaming it hovers between 90-95 C. This seems a little on the high side for comfort? If so, what options do I have to lower the temp while gaming?

Build info:

Case: Corsair 4000D

Mobo/CPU: Gigabyte Aorus Pro AX Z490 paired with Intel Core i7-10700k

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15

GPU: Radeon 6800XT

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 4x16G (64GB)

Fan configuration is Front-to-Back. 3x intakes on the front panel, 1 rear exhaust fan. Even with the front panel off, temps are still running into the 90s.

Something sounds off if it's running into the 90s. What RPM are the GPU fans running at during load?

90c for the average temp is pretty up there for a 6800 XT, even the reference card. If it was the junction temp/hot spot temp, 90c seems about in line with what I would expect.

Which model specifically are you running, what case do you have, and what's your fan/cooling setup?

That's pretty low, test with speed at around 2000rpm

Try increasing the fan curve to 2000RPM.

That's done from the BIOS right?

As @RONOTHAN## said, or MSI Afterburner you can set a custom fan curve up instead to override the default fan curve.
