Good Custom 780 BIOS?

So I have found this one and wondered if someone has used it or if there is another one that someone would suggest. Any good ones?

Will a custom BIOS allow me to up voltage off the bat or do I need to softmod Afterburner? For some reason I have never been able to.

It disables boost complety, so no undervolting or downclocking crap and you get 1.21v all the time

Follow this thread, you only have to do the command prompt part, ignore the part where it says "here's a tool to do it easily"

 

Keep in mind all voltage you set it will use 15-25 MORE millivolts than you set.  IE:  1.3v = 1.315-1.325v  

 

Here's also a video for when you actually flash the bios AFTER modding afterburner to allow you to use 1300mv.

 

DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS YOUR GPU IS IN A CUSTOM LOOP.

 

 

 

 

If your card is reference I recommend only going to 1.3v (1.325v). When you're done gaming / benchmarking turn the clocks back and leave the voltage at 1.2v.

When you want a lower voltage you just change the voltage. By default it doesnt run at 1.21v as far as i can remember

Why not do it on the ACX cooler I modded my 660Ti BIOS on the air cooler up to 1.21 volts

Because overvolting a 660 TI is nothing compared to overvolting a 780, they can easily use upwards of 350 watts when over-volted, and the VRM's will overheat if not under a waterblock.

 

Air coolers aren't designed to handle that kind of heat output, the GPU will easily hit over 80C even with fans maxed out most likely.
