Hey everyone, I built my second ever PC yesterday since I needed an upgrade, so I'm pretty new to this but everything seemed to be going well.

I decided to go for a Ryzen 9 7950X3D with an Asus X670 E-E Gaming Wifi Mainboard. I knew beforehand that I had to update the BIOS before the CPU could work and read that I could Flash the BIOS. So I downloaded the newest BIOS version off the ASUS site, renamed it and copied it onto my FAT32 Flash Drive.

The video I watched said that the update takes like 6 min. but my BIOS Flash LED was blinking slowly then after a minute or so started to blink fast and after a total of 3 min. stopped blinking, so I take that it worked.

After all that I started the PC to see if it worked. All the fans started spinning and the RGB in my PC started, but the RGB on my mouse and keyboard didn't. I also get no signal to my monitor.

On my motherboard I get the Error 00 and the Orange CPU LED below it is constantly on.

I already checked all the cables and connections to see if they were loose but none of them were. I don't think the RAM has anything to do with it but I also tried taking one stick out and also switching them to see if that was the issue but it wasn't.

I started to google for answers, I checked a few posts with the same issue (there are a lot) but none of their fixes work for me. Some post said they had to Flash the BIOS multiple times before it worked, so I did that but it didn't work for me. I then tried to Flash my BIOS with an older version to see if the newest one was faulty, to no success.

So now I'm kind of lost with what to do, does anyone know a fix for this? Could the motherboard or CPU be faulty? I greatly appreciate any help!

My specs are:

Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX X670E-E GAMING WIFI

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D

RAM: G. SKILL Trident Z5 32 GB (2x 16GB) KIT DDR5 6800MHz CL34

GPU: Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 24GB OC

PSU: be quiet! Dark Power Pro 12 1500W

I also added some pictures of my PC on and off.

cleared the bios since update? have you removed the cmos battery (and power to the pc) pressed start a few times then replug in etc

checked cpu for any damage/cooler not to tight etc

I would also remove everything except the cpu and 1 stick (nothing else connected to the board!) and test

I went and did everything you told me to do! Do I need to update BIOS again after I cleared it?

I checked the CPU but I didn't find any physical damage.

Do I just start the PC after I have removed the GPU and 1 Stick? Or do I update again?

Thank you!

just reduce the pc to its bear minimum to see if it gets past the 00/cpu led, so just psu/cpu/1 stick of ram, clear cmos with power lead out of psu, then replug in and press start.

check your motherboard manual for which ram slot 1 stick should be populating for correct use
