Check out the hotspot temp, its super freakin hot. I know Im overclocking right now but even stock out of the box it hit 90C. I do have the little support bracket holding up the right side of the card, should I maybe release it and see if I am pushing too hard and bowing the card? Should I consider re-pasting the card?

 

Its a Red Devil, it really shouldn't be this hot, its a 3.25 slot card with way more cooling power than the reference/factory stock card.

Thanks for the heads up, I saw reviews saying they were hitting max 80C out of the box on junction temp. I knew it wasn't overheating but it seemed high, and it was 90C out of the box with no OC.

You must remember that some reviewers use open bench system, and/or set ambient temp with aircon turned down to something like 18C which is frightfully cold to me. My Merc 310 RX 7900 XTX gets to 60+ C (~85C Hotspot) with ambient temp at about 24C, and this is with a more aggressive custom fan curve.

The gap between junction and average(?) is too huge imo, probably mounting pressure related or crappy thermal paste application.

For the RX 6900 series, the delta for air-cooled solutions was around 20C...

Yeah, that's what TechPowerUp reviews show as well for higher end XTX cooler, not 30c like op.
