Budget (including currency): 500-1000

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mostly Gaming, probably other things on the side.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a parts list figured out already but I’d like an experts opinion on critiquing it since I’m kind of new to the pc building area. I already have the keyboard, mouse, and monitors. I just need something that will play most games well. Just something that isn’t slow.

Parts list I’ve made

Ryzen 5 5600X

Asus ROG Strix b550-f

16gb Corsair vengeance ram

Samsung 970 Evo plus 500 gb m.2

WD caviar blue 1 TB hard drive

MSI ventus RTX 3060 12gb

Fractal design pop air case

Corsair RM750e

This comes out to 985 usd

I have none of the parts in hand and I’d preferably like to buy new but used parts are also an option.

I'd post a https://pcpartpicker.com/ build, as then its easy to modify and to see if you are overpaying for some components, but the specs alone arent too bad. Personally i'd get a 5600 instead of a 5600X and get a 2TB HDD. Also whats the ram speed?

I have a PCpartpicker list if you’d like me to post it. Ram speed is 3200.

how much is a 6700xt? could be a good option

I forgot to include this in the main post but I’d preferably like Nvidia but I suppose Radeon is also an option.

6700xt at the cheapest new is 350 according to partpicker
