I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

which on is better for the price and performance rx 6600 xt or rx 6650 xt

6650 XT is a factory overclocked 6600 XT. If they're the same price and the coolers are about the same, get the 6650, but otherwise I'd generally go more for which is cheaper or has the better cooler for the price.

Given those two links, the 6600XT is $20 cheaper and has a better cooler, so it would be my pick personally, though honestly you couldn't go wrong either way.

The video I linked above is time stamped at a 10 game average and the 6650 xt and 6600 xt are in that.

Do the 6600 XT and 6650 XT have the same VRAM? I know the 6750 XT has faster VRAM than the 6700 XT for example, and I don't think AMD lets you OC the VRAM.

EDIT: Yeah looked it up and 6650 XT upgrades to 18Gbps VRAM from the 6600 XT's 16Gbps.

so go with the 6600 xt

it had a triple fan and only 254.99 on newegg

Here's a 6650 XT for $5 more. Plus it comes with The Last of Us Part 1, though you'll probably want to wait a month or two for the bugs to get ironed out a bit because the game is a mess right now. Incredible game once they get the port in decent shape.

Should post a request for a full system recommendation in a new thread with a budget, what games you want to play, what kind of monito, and so on.

TPU is showing 5% in their 6650 XT review at 1080p. Same 5% at 1440p also.

I was going off their relative performance charts for their GPU database (generally it's a bit quicker to check and pretty accurate for comparing card performance). Guess someone must've screwed up numbers throwing them in there.

To be fair, that can be counteracted by just overclocking the VRAM on the 6600 XT. It may be higher binned, but really that just means it's clocked higher out of the box, hence my comment that it's just a factory overclocked 6600 XT.

Are you able to OC the VRAM? I don't know about the 6600 XT but I think the clock on the VRAM is locked on the 6700 XT for example. Could swear I saw that in some undervolting guides on the 6700 XT but I could be wrong.

You'd probably be more than fine with an i3-12100F, though Intel boards can be kind of overpriced. And that TLOU Part 1 game you'd be getting with the gpu would probably bend a 12100F into the fucking ground. I you think you might be interested in AAA gaming too at some point would be worth spending a little more and getting an i5-12400F or Ryzen 5 5600. Especially since the 6600 XT or 6650 XT would certainly be AAA game worthy gpus, as they're around the level of what's in the PS5.

You've got a slider on both those cards, they've just got a max limit that's lower than where most cards would top out. 2000MHz is the stock clock and I'm pretty sure the limit is 2150 or 2200MHz, which would match the 6650 XTs memory clock of 2190MHz.
