OS related doubt

Go to solution Solved by svmlegacy,

A fresh install of Windows 11 Pro should work just fine,

I am planning to build a PC workstation based on Xeon 4th gen WS. I am ok with all the hardware but not sure about OS. Will normal win11pro work well and will it install, else i would need to purchase win11pro for workstation.

And would like your help on what all would i be missing if win11pro works just fine and i wouldn't be needing the workstation OS one. And will the RDIMM work well in normal win11pro without any tweak or need switching it on with any settings?..

Thanks in advance....

if i recall, windows for workstations is sort of a mix between elements of windows desktop and windows server, particularly the scheduler from some versions of windows server being more "adjusted" to very high core count processors and NUMA topology.

having that said... it's a matter of optimization, it's not a matter of "working".
