Go to solution Solved by jaslion,

Get displayport to x adapters.

That x700 is so ancient it will have driver conflicts with the rx6600 if it can even get it's latest vista drivers working on windows 10/11.

So yes it will be an issue

would it harm any software if I was to put in a ATI Radeon X700 with a RX6600 the reason i ask is all the other screens i have are VGA, DVI all in all can i still use it just for a simple display like for watching youtube twich ect...

adapters are cheaper than the headache what will ensue. DP to DVI is ~$8-15, depending on region.

Are you trying to connect an old monitor with only VGA & DVI ports to a PC with a RX6600 installed? If so, your best bet will be to get a DVI-HDMI cable. That's what I did to connect my previous 2nd hand monitor to my PC with an RX580. Granted, the RX580 card does have a DVI port, but i wanted to use the HDMI port anyway...
