So I need some clarification on what parts are actually the mosfets. Are they the small black chips that don't stick up much or are they sliver/grey squares that stick up more? I know that they aren't the black chips that circle the gpu core. http://img.videocardz.com/1/2013/11/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-780-Ti-power-section.jpg

I'd link the image but ipad browser forums don't like to work.

Second question, does anyone have a place to buy small Heatsinks to attach to VRAM and VRMS has to be in Canada though.

mosfets...is actually MOSFETs..its like an acrnym or somethin

EDIT: INDUCTOR! Thats what the little boxes are

they are those little boxes in a neat line. Some times they have an exposed copper coil, recently they are all solid. The copper coil in side is wraped around a somewhat tiny rod. the flow of electrons makes the rod magnetic, "choking" the flow of power.

I know it's an acronym but I could care less if I wrote it in all caps. Okay, thanks for the rest of the info.

OP: The silver R22 chips are inductors and the adjacent black chips are the voltage regulator modules. You would need to keep them both cooled if possible. Waterblocks, for example, provide thermal pads that cover them both.

The grey boxes are called chokes. The MOSFETs are the black chips on the right side of those.

oh okay. Would be necessary to put Heatsinks on the "chokes"?

Chokes usually don't need cooling, they don't really care if they get hot or not.

okay so I'll do what I was originally going do. my intention is to use a nzxt g10 bracket and some low profile Heatsinks, so I'll get enough to cover the chips on the chips in front of the grey r22 chokes, and the back vrams.
