the pumps often get loud over time. Mine was silent for a few months and then started whining like a hungry toddler.

Never seen that before I have my h100i since a month after release and my pc is almost 24/7 on.

Why low profile? Try the NH u14s or the nh d15 (for same or better cooling performance than a 240mm rad AOI)

I just ran a ghetto test on my shuttle. Here is a video. Stock 92mm fan for the first 40seconds and then the Glacer 240L. It seems heaps quieter to me... I wouldn't complain about the noise from the pump.

But the size.

The size of the Noctua NH u12 / 14 s is very small. If you want something VERY low profile dual fan and very quiet cooler i can recommend the noctua NH-L12.
