Windows is hacking my pc

I rexently installed windows. As a companion to my ubuntu system. Well the driver nvidia install lead to a boot loop on windows mow all my custom bios settings are essentually... beoken. And it force updated the bios. Is there a way to prevent windows from doing this? 

My bios needs to be set a cirtain way or else its entirely inaccessable.

Never heard of an OS bypassing the user to update to the bios ?

The bios is at a level where it is independent of windows... At times a bios update might be required to accommodate newer functions within an OS or newer hardware

but never that an OS simply goes into your bios and arranges things for itself.

So please be a little more descriptive of what is happneing ? 

Sounds more like a malware than windows doing what it wants?

Some OEM update the BIOS through the Windows update system. And usually with a BIOS update, it's setting will be back to default.

Windows isn't hacking anything.

 

UEFI allows to be updated by the OS. Motherboard manufactures and OEMs distributes UEFI via Windows Update.

Check your motherboard/system UEFI settings and manual to disable this feature.
