Hello, I've been attempting to use an Hd 5450 that I've had laying around for a little bit and plug it into my Dell Optiplex 780 but all it seems to do is get the fans to spin really fast with no display and then shuts off. I know the GPU works as Ive tried it in my old HP and I get a display and everything. And I know it works with the hd 5570 (for a time at least). Any clues?

I checked, and it looks like it's a 19 watt card, so should be fine power-wise.  Check the BIOS to see what settings are there and if the BIOS recognizes a GPU is connected to the PCI-E slot.  If it's not detecting the card at all, might want to try reseating the GPU.

There is approximately a 117% chance I edited my post.
