bootloop when connecting to wifi.

when the pc connects to wifi it goes in boot loop i’ve tried using a usb dongle and ethernet cable and it still happens.

 

i’ve tried everything i can think of and don’t know what to do.

 

could it be the motherboards faulty or the cpu maybe?

 

cause the problem have only happend when connecting to wifi both with usb dongle or ethernet, so it must be because of the wifi i would think.

 

pc specs.

cpu: i7-4790k

motherboard: asrock c266 ws 

gpu: EVGA gtx 1050 ti

ram: 32 gb 

windows 10 pro 64 bit

So you PC is working but just starts rebooting itself if you attempt to connect or make a wifi connection.?

just trying to follow your query. 

If the PC is running ok but shuts down and starts to cycle trhu a boot loop once you attempt to join the network then I can only suggest you check for malware etc.

A pc if working would fail to make a connection if it was a hardware issue but suddenly being forced into a boot loop is sounding malicious to me.

so i should run the avg anti virus when i get it toboot again?

 

and yes it runs fine until it connects to wifi.

 

i completly wiped the harddrives so i only got the standard windows apps on it.

next time you boot check the windows error reports and look for any warnings etc.

just use search bar and type in event viewer.

under the section windows logs you will see a list 

application

security

setup

System

etc etc and you can click each section to open a list of logs and you will see yellow warnings and marked in red errors.

hunt thru those messages to read what happened and you should find reports of the connection attemp and what went wrong and also the errors that forced a shutdown.

im probably gonna take the pc to a tech guy cause i dont understand any of the eventviewer but it has a lot of warnings and errors i feel.

 

i could probably find the issue but it would most likely take too long for me.
