If I upgrade my Motherboard, RAM, and case, will it improve my overall performance?

I currently have:

i7 4770K

NVIDIA GTX 770

H100i Cooler

PSU Corsair 600M

Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Pro 4

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x4 8GB

Case: Corsair 300r

I want to upgrade the following:

Motherboard > Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H

RAM -> G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)

Case> NZXT H440 (looking for a bit more airflow)

If I upgrade the following, will it increase my PC performance overall? Any suggestions/feedback? Thanks!

Not really maybe a tiny bit in overclocking but the motherboard is fine, the RAM you won't see an improvement unless its higher MHz and you wish to take advantage of that and the 300R is a good case but the upgrade to the H440 is the only logical thing here.

yeah the H440 will get you like +40 fps in games!

jk, the short answer is, no. You will not see the slightest change in performance, you could possibly be facing 1 or 2 degrees cooler temps and a prettier BIOS, that's all. The RAM won't make a difference at all, unless you add the G.Skill to the Crucial for 16 GB and even then you would hardly see any difference, definitely not in gaming.

I was like it's a case +40fps noo lol. What could possibly be making the fans louder than my old stock fan? I upgraded to the H100i and it seems louder and I'm not sure that's how loud it's supposed to be.

well if you're using the stock fans I can tell you that they are extremely loud, mostly because they vibrate quite a bit, which gets passed on to the case and gets pretty loud.

You should upgrade the fans, good ones are Noctua and Noiseblocker, for example. I have 4 Noiseblocker BlackSilent Pro 2's in my system and they work exceptionally well on a radiator. And they're much cheaper than Noctuas.

OC will remain the same.

You can prob get 1866 9-10-9-28 timings on that 1600 ram you already have. Will give minimum gains in games. Little more in other stuff. Nothing groundbreaking though.

Airflow in the case should be fine. Add some more or better case fans, or switch them out as others have said if you are running too hot.

I wouldn't even consider upgrading unless you got a real bummer of a 4770k that clocks at like 4.1-4.2 and Devil's canyon averages high 4's. Even then? I wouldn't bother unless I could sell the old computer for a decent amount, and you play 25 man raiding WoW or something or 40 man raid Wild Star or Guild Wars 2 or are really into Flight Simulator. That is about the only thing that would see some FPS gains that matter by a higher clocked I7 and that is because those games run on like 1-2 cores.

If gaming is the focus, put that money away for a GTX 8xx/4k monitor when they are ips and freesync. That is all I am waiting on with the same CPU/GPU you have. If 8xx takes too long, or isn't all that impressive and r9 290's continue to fall I might grab two of those instead and a new PSU. All depends just how soon 4k becomes affordable and if the monitors get better.

CPU:24/7-4770k @ 4.5ghz/4.0 cache @ 1.22V override, 1.776 VCCIN. MB: Z87-G41 PC Mate. Cooling: Hyper 212 evo push/pull. Ram: Gskill Ares 1600 CL9 @ 2133 1.56v 10-12-10-31-T1 150 TRFC. Case: HAF 912 stock fans (no LED crap). HD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB. Display: Dell S2340M IPS. GPU: Sapphire Tri-x R9 290. PSU:CX600M OS: Win 7 64 bit/Mac OS X Mavericks, dual boot Hackintosh.

I'm pretty happy with my current build just if i could reduce the fans getting loud, and make sure my computer is overclocked well without having to worry about high temps etc. I know that OC will kill my CPU faster than a stock CPU but if i could stabilize it, that would be great!

Well Noctua's are pretty darn nice for silence. They are pricey but if noise bothers you, they are great :). Replace everything with those including rad fans and you should be good to go. It isn't that they cool any better, but Noctua's push more air at lower RPM's. PC part picker should give you the lowest price.
