hi yall so I built this new pc for myself for my bday a few days ago I've only had it for about a month now entirely and things were working GREAT they were perfect every game ran fine and everything but up until 2 days ago I've had a bit of a scare and a problem with the GPU underperforming.

games like Batman Arkham origins and payday 2 even borderlands 2 aren't getting as much as I was all of the sudden and the temps and GPU load are super weird all of the sudden

the fps I normally get for all games are

payday 2: 290+ to 160
batman Arkham origins: would go from 500+ to 200 even going past 1000FPS at times
borderlands 2: 200 or more to 150 and stays between there even hitting 360 MAX
temps for all games being only 50 or less most times

and now last night

payday 2: 90FPS to even by the end of it staying around 60 to 50 or less FPS
batman Arkham origins: staying at 200 not going any higher but going down to 100 or so
borderlands 2: 100 to staying sometimes at 80 and dropping to 60 FPS and staying around there
temps now 60 or 65 and having a hard time cooling down but in the end it does and never goes below 35 when it used to

it wasn't like this before and all of the sudden it is?? my GPU load sometimes are 20 to 30 for no reason and while playing all of those games my GPU load can go to almost 100 and it was never like that at all

the scare I had was that I had left my pc on which sometimes I do so I can play YouTube in the back while I'm asleep. I woke up and my screen was off and my computer looked as if it had just restarted? my lights weren't synced as they normally are and I thought my computer had restarted but it didn't cause my video was still playing in the background and i could hear it and my CPU fan was going really fast. there was no input on my monitor at all just a black screen so I turned my pc off. waited and now everything is on again and ever since things have been fucky

there's no viruses on this computer no software that could be doing this either although I'm thinking maybe drivers might be a cause
my cable is plugged in correctly I double checked
the bright MSI light on my GPU still shows up and the fans still spin perfectly
VGA light stays on after boot up but when i turn on and off my pc again it goes away on next start up

if someone can help me with this please that would make me so happy!!! I've legit only had this PC for a month and again everything is BRAND new.

First off, try updating your drivers. It could easily be that, so that's a good thing to check first.

How are your temps? Are you monitoring them while you game? It could well be a thermal issue.

Also, how's your power draw? What sort of PSU are you running?

Can you list all of your PC parts here? Might help with diagnosis.

they are 37C right now as of writing staying at that sometimes going down to 36c

ok.... how about when under load or during the stated issue , is there a temperature change that may be of some note?
