Psu for 1660 super

Go to solution Solved by mariushm,

It's a good enough psu. But if you can do better, you should do better.

The 1600 cpu consumes up to around 80 watts. The video card goes to around 100-120 watts.

The ram consumes up to aroun 5-6 watts (2-3w per stick). A hard drive consumes up to 8-10w, a SSD less than 2-3 watts.

It will work.

ANY video card with a single 8 pin pci-e connector will work just fine with such psu. That means the video card is not allowed to consume more than 150w (from pci-e 8 pin connector) + 65w ( from pci-e slot) = ~ 215 watts. With a 80w cpu and 30-50w consumed by anything else in your system, you're not going over 350w out of 500w the power supply can produce, so it would be able to manage it just fine.
