Hi.

My problem is that, I am thinking about plug a M.2 A+E key module (to be specific, this one) into a M.2 M key slot. I wonder if they are compatible. An article says A+E key means PCIEx2 interface, while M key means PCIEx4, so theoretically they may work I guess. But do this really work? And in general, we have A, B, E, and M key, and even combinations of them (like B+M key or A+E key). Why do those people make such a chaos?

the keys don't mean anything for what it is.  They mix and match keys.

It should work fine in a normal M.2 PCIE Slot.
