What were you doing at the time, does the Windows Error Reporting tool say anything?

I will find your Laptop thread and I will recommend an ITX build instead

Sure would be neat if there was something useful here, eh?

it might simply be a random things as a power spike or a piece of software misbehaved etc. especially as it has happened only once.

Try the following.

Disable the auto restart on system failure. it wont fix any issues but it gives the system time to give a report on what possibly happened.  Automatic reboot prevents windows from reporting the issue and then you have no idea what or why.

Also if running widows 10 the random reboots under win 10 are a well known issue and there are hundreds of web pages with tips and advice but it seemed to effect so many people and there was never a single one fit solution for everyone.

Did the windows shutting down screen appear or did it shut off with no warning (like a power outage)?

Like a power outage just off then on again

I was working in ue5. Windows error reporting tool? do you mean event viewer (The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.)

No, I'm saying did it randomly turn off (then most likelt PSU or other hardware) or did the windows shutting down screen appeared(Windows update or software based)

I wasn't meant to say a power outage happend i was just relating it to that.

Yeah, I'd assume some sort of power problem as well if you haven't OC'd / undervolted your system.

Yeah, probably. I just gave it a quick google and "Windows error reporting" was the first result that seemed right
