I'm new to PC building and I want to build a PC (mostly for gaming and YouTubing) with a budget of around £600 but I want you know what people think of I build. I chose the parts for the build with the help of a friend who has some experience with building PCs and I used pcpartpicker.com

Please suggest improvements for the parts list and thanks for taking your time to read this topic.

8320 and overclock it

cooler is ok, but i can check out if there is better deal

ok mobo, will check later

you really need 2 TB of storage?

the case isnt the best. will check out and present you some options

you really dont need to get corsair cx psu. xfx 550w is allways cheap, and there is also bequiet, seasonic etc..

you dont need special termal compound. i can give you some options from cpu coolers if you want cooler cpu. the one that comes with coolers is ok.

do you need an OS?

:D

I've already bought a copy of Windows 7 from Reddit

SSD

I would if it wasn't so expensive, and I prefer not to use multiple drives in one PC

Ok here you go.

If you want, you can replace 760, but its really good back / buck and its MSI cooler. Do what you want.

Cpu cooler is great and super quiet. I also checked compatibility with case, it fits.

This case isnt the best, but this is what you expect for the money. You get filter for psu, sickleflow fans (cheap but quiet fans actually, many times recommended on this forum i can give you benches)

Psu made by seasonic, enough power.

Mobo has 8+2 power phases, its heatsinked and enough to mildly OC 8320 and keep both cpu cool and stable and mobo.

Also, if you feel more comfortable with kingston memory, you can go with it if you want. You can get dual channel if you want more perf.

wow pretty awesome build for the price, i can suggest if your using just one hard drive then go for a SSHD there not that much.

and a duel channel memory kit would help, if your going AMD for cpu and GPU then the new AMD performance or gaming series memory would work good with the other components. and can you afford a R9280X?

got to love Asus components

Everything looks good, but I would switch the memory to a 2x4 setup instead of a 1x8. Dual Channel memory is better when gaming as it doesn't put so much strain on a single stick.

I'm just gonna get a pirated copy of Win 7

I would if it wasn't so expensive, and I prefer not to use multiple drives in one PC

changed the HDD to 1tb

Don't pirate Windows 7. If you want a free OS, Go Linux. Pirated software can only lead to bad things.

Sadly, I can't get an R9280X due to the fact that it'll add around £50 to the build. Also, AMD performance RAM will also add approximately £100 to the build, so that's out of the question

I just checked the specs of the m/board, the memory speeds is pretty low for today's standards (1066 & 1333 when o/c) just saying, its worth checking all the details before buying the other components.

and its PCi-e 2.0 if you want to take the advantage af one good single GPU card that is 3.0 then might be worth looking into other boards.

after looking at all the other options for m-atx AM3+ boards, there is no new ones i can find that support good memory speeds, Sata3, Pci-e 3.0, usb 3.0. so it might be worth looking at the new Kavari 7850K and hooked upto the highest range AMD graphics card it can duel graphics (hybrid to) contact AMD as different people say different cards will work or not.

I know the AM3+ FX is a good all-rounder budget cpu, i have one myself and play good games no problem.

so if you want small i would go A88 chipset (FM2+) if you want AM3+ it would most likely have to be a ATX m/board unless you are happy with the specs you have chosen.

got to love Asus components
