Thoughts on the Toshiba XC10 1Tb external SSD.

I am getting a very good deal on this SSD but couldn’t find any reliable reviews or customer comments about this. Has anyone come across or used this?

A general thought about external storage:

 

The biggest thing SSDs do is they’re really really fast. (They also have some stuff regarding fragility.  They can take a lot of Gs)  They can’t transfer data faster than their connection though, so a slow connection is going to make for a slow drive, no matter what it’s internal speed is.  So if the is thing is USB 3.0 it’s 5mb/s max no matter what you do.
