Blocked On iMessage?

I did this test a few years ago, where the other person wanted me to block them, and then they would send a message to me. Both of us had iPhones at this time with iMessage enabled. The message never went through - it never said Delivered underneath the message bubble.

Am I blocked on iMessage if it says "Delivered" immediately? I'm on iOS 16.3.1

If you're blocked, it won't work at all. If it shows up as Delivered really fast, then it just got to the recipient that quickly.
