As with (nearly) all AM5 boards, you get BIOS flashback so just throw the latest BIOS on it before you even boot it up and you'll be good to go. This board has a pretty active thread on OCN, second only to the Crosshair X670E HERO thread. Most of the time people seem to be talking about custom BIOSes for RAM tweaking, however. It works perfectly fine for me with the stock BIOSes.

That's good to know. I do appreciate talking about it with me. I'll go with the Taichi then.

So I have a ProArt x670e laying here for my upcoming build with the 7950x3d planned.

Is it safe to assemble the full build (put in the 7850X3D as well) , then flash the BIOS Update for the 7950x3d compatibility or is it safer to Update with Flashback without having anything assembled. just power to the Mainboard and a fat32 USB drive without having even the processor in?

or should I even try to boot the system fully enabled before flashing the Bios with the possibility that it can boot with the 7950x3d?

It doesn't matter what order you put the CPU in as long as you update the BIOS or it may not POST. Not the first person I've helped tonight with a 7950x3D before it's released... Odd CPU to buy if you're not already familiar with this process but no matter.

Run the renamer so it renames the file then drop the file on a fresh FAT32 USB stick. Insert in the correct USB port designated for BIOS flashing and with the PSU turned on, press and hold the BIOS flash button until the light starts to blink. Wait until the light goes out and the update is complete, shut off the PSU.
