I assume that liquid cooling is better for graphics cards than air cooling from what I have found on a few articles... but only a few. So what solution is best? An interesting one was Swiftech's with a universal GPU waterblock and a heasink that goes with it to cool the other components. Then just add a fan or two and you have a hybrid cooling solution, so the water only cools the graphics processor, not the other stuff on the card. Would this be best, or a full cover waterblock, or an air cooler like Prolimatech's MK-26?

A water-cooled graphics card will always be better than an air cooled one. However, I do not recommend you use the H220 to cool your graphics card. If I were you I would go for a fully custom watercooling set up.

Read the two stickies at the top of the forum named "Watercooling 101" and "FAQ" to find out a bit more about water cooling.

It depends on what you cinsider is "best". Air cooling is best for those on a budget while the top-performing GPUs typically use LN2. For conventional purposes, a full cover block will yield very impressive performance with great aesthetics and low noise.

Tbh in my opinion the only real downside to air cooled GPU's is the noise it makes under load, however i do use a headset so doesnt make much difference to me.

Of course a water cooled solution will get you better temps but i dont run into any temp issues whatsoever with my 680 overclocked as far as i can get it.

I should note i do plan to watercool my whole system eventually but i will be doing it for aesthetics and noise reduction rather than temp issues.
