Question about 16pin PSU's

In short, I have a 3080 strix oc. It requires 3x 8 pins.

 

Is there an adapter I can use so I can plug those 3 x 8 pins into a 16pin port on a PSU? For example this one https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/power-supply-units/tuf-gaming/tuf-gaming-1000g/

No, you'll use 3 separate cables.  They're included in your PSU box.

 

You can use the daisy chains, but they only have 2x  8pin setups on them and they're not the recommended way to power a card.

Damn there goes my easy cable management idea.

I did alot of research before using 1x 8+8 daisy chain on my 4080.  It really depends on what PSU manufacturer.  Corsairs RM series has quality daisy chain cables rated at full power, other lesser quality PSU's do not.

Or should I stick with the one I bought and just use one 8pin for my 5900x?

You can use the 8Pin for the CPU, it doesn't need the additional connections.

Good PSU but the one you have is just fine as well.
