My (Inspiron 7472) power button doesn't work half the time, it doesn't light up either, sometimes if I press the laptop just below (about 3 cm) the power button then it starts working again and it's LED is correctly working (being turned on when PC is turned on)

Since it's a massive pain to entirely disassemble the laptop, I wanted to know if there were any "easy" fixes for this.

You could try dissassembling it once just to see if there is anything that is blocking the Power button.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Maybe Restart it?

Take everything I say with a grain of salt. I could be just about wrong as I am right.

This probably isn’t the answer you’re looking for but if you can turn it on by pressing below the button that’s what I would do. You’ll probably have to replace the button eventually from what it sounds like, but no need to have that headache until you’re ready.

I hate this answer but you're right, that's the best I can get

I opened the laptop, couldn't find anything suspicious (corrosion, broken paths etc.), the cable which connected the daughterboard to the motherboard might have not been seated properly, as after disconnecting it and replugging it, it fixed the issue!
