Issue with new build

Hi All

 

Just finished my new build and am very happy with it at the moment. The downside is that in the quest of going for an all white build I have run into an issue with my Corsair H100i Elite Capillex, where it seems like the pump is running and can control fan speed and fan RGB with iCue but the device pump is not showing up.
I have tried every possible troubleshooting to get the the pump to show up to no avail. I have ordered another H100i Elite to see if it is an issue with the commander core itself.

The question i have is that if i have no luck with the new AIO i am thinking of switching to an air cooled cooler. I want to keep with the white theme i am thinking of switching to the Deepcool AS500 white or AK620 White. I know Noctua is one of the highly recommended but no white version.

I am running a i7-3700k

 

Any recommendations will be great.

Does the pump show up if you plug the USB cable directly into the motherboard? Also, what motherboard do you have? from what I can gather, its ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4

Thats correct. The pump only has two cables which is the cable to plug into the CPU_FAN header and the other goes directly into the Commander Pro. I've heard of commander cores having issues during firmware updates.

Update on the issue, Bout a new H100i Elite and just changed over the new commander pro and it worked. I'd say the original commander core was faulty and will be contacting corsair or taking it back to the place i bought it from and hopefully get a refund or store credit.
