Slower than expected

So i recently made a new build and it has trouble loading stuff A LOT, while browsing its quite fast but when alt tabbing its slow and the colors change (might be because i am alt tabbing into a screen that is connected to a USB dock (that also has hdmi)) so the colors change, hdmi screen does not have hdr, main monitor that IS plugged into gpu does support and have HDR enabled
specs: 6750 XT, ryzen 7 5700x, 1 stick of 16gb RAM, 750 Watt PSU, B550-F Gaming motherboard

the only thing i can think of that makes the pc slow, is the NVMe drive, 1GB of Write, 3GB of Read, 256GB

Yes everything has the latest drivers (checked Armoury Crate and websites of manufacturers + looked up Hardware ID's)

Your 1 RAM stick is holding you back. Also why use a USB dock for display out? Surely that's gonna make it even worse.

Ryzen is severely bottlenecked by not running dual channel RAM. 

 

But that is not the issues here.

 

Have you disabled hardware acceleration in the browser?

tried disabling MultiPlane Overlay MP?

1 ram stick only makes about 2% performance difference right? no reason for it to bug out a lot, and the dock is bc i dont want fps drops from my gpu handling 2 monitors

most of the time the browser is not open (while having said issues), but i could try that

ive never heard of MultiPlane Overlay MP, where do i find this?

Unless you actually game on two monitors you will not see a difference. So feel free to plug it into your GPU with no noticable penalty.

 

You're running in single channel and that cuts your bandwith in half.

alright, does bandwith matter when it comes to just opening apps already installed?

my coworker says that single channel shouldnt matter and its a first hes heard from single channel being an issue

I would advise against doing asynchronous dual channel (16+4; so you'd have 4+4 in dual channel and additional 12GB which wouldn't be dual channeled).

But the screenshot you provided shows you having 8GB memory and using 2 slots on the motherboard.

so how much difference would another exact stick of ram make? bc im dying here, i have that MultiPlane issue you sent me, plus apps are so damn slow, likesometimes discord takes 1 sec to startup, and other times it can take 2 minutes, same with my voice software and any other programs, sometimes programs even refusing to start up (plus how much does it affect fps?)

So you still didn't solve the MPO issue? It's a simple registry edit!

i cannot do this right now since i am at work, i have sent the link of this topic to my pc at home via email so i will do everything listed here whenever i am home, please wait patiently till then, i will continue trying to find things in case some of the things listed above do not work, as alternatives, do you mind if i keep asking things in case they are not clear? (sidenote, i only have 1 stick of ram in posesion, i will need to buy an extra 16gb stick next month)

The screenshot you provided clearly states you have 2 out of 4 slots used. Can't do that with a single stick. That's why I'm asking for a RamMon screenshot.

If you used the regedit files

ONE disables MPO, the other enables it. Lol
