System will not post after not changing things in bios

dekov

Hi,

yesterday i entered bios, changed as per video bellow, but left bios without saving it, because i wasn´t sure if i made it by tutorial. After leaving bios pc will not post. Just black screen and VGA light on MB is on. GPU is connected by 3x8 pin separate cables from PSU to adapter provided by nvidia.

Video:

I tried GPU from other working PC but no luck, still VGA ligh is on. (Also tried other PCI-e slots) / Old card is Asus GTX 1070 8 gb

I also tried reseating all cables but still same problem. GPU works in other system, but not in this one.

I tried to boot computer without SSDs but still VGA light is on.

I haven´t tried to reset CMOS (I will try tommorow because i don´t have this computer on hand right now).

I have to say that i had problem with this motherboard from start, when enabling resizable bar it will not let computer post (even before installing windows). I think that it can be faulty motherboard, tommorow i will have acces to new Asus motherboard so i can test it.

Computer:

GIGABYTE Z790 UD

Intel core i7 13700 KF no overclocking

Kingston Fury Beast Black 64GB (4x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL 36     XMP 1 was on

MSI GeForce RTX 4080 SUPRIM 16G

Noctua NH-D15

Corsair RM1000e

2x Samsung 980 PRO 2TB

be quiet! PURE BASE 500DX black

Windows 11 22H2 64 bit

reset CMOS

Hi,

so after swapping every component to second working pc i found out it has to be motherboard issue (every other component works). When i put in this system i7 13700k it boots to bios and i have signal from HDMI on motherboard but still vga light is on. In the process of changing cpu i found what i think can be bent/missing pins.

Pins were not bent or missing when i took cpu out yesterday i think, because it is hard to see from above. See attached pictures.
