RX 5700 XT getting low usage

I bought an rx 5700 xt and it came in yesterday. i see in all games a low usage and sometimes it uses less than the 2000mhz or so clock speed. I dont think its a cpu bottleneck because in all the screenshots the cpu is at 50 percent or less. no parts should be bottlenecking it, so idk.

specs:

ryzen 5 1600

rx 5700 xt

16gb ram (3200 mhz)

1tb crucial ssd and 500gb toshiba hdd

thermaltake 700 watt psu

Uncapped PF is always low on usage, just general limitation of the roblox engine itself being unable to maximize resource usage. You dont need to worry about resource usage in general, unless one is completely pegged at the limit while the other sits at low usage.

What games are you playing and at what resolution?

I had a 1600X in my system followed by a 3600 and a 5900X. The 1600X bottlenecked the 5700XT even on 1440p!

mostly escape from tarkov, battlebit, roblox, warzone, and csgo. ive tried all these games in a mixture of high and low settings to try and strain the gpu but it gives about the same fps or just a little bit. i would say a cpu bottleneck here but the cpu is at low percentages.

it is 1080p. i am thinking its a cpu bottleneck but the cpu usages are fairly low, idk.

Low usage when you llok at all the 12 threads, but whenyou look how utilized are the 1-2-or-3 cores you'll see those get fairly high.

its utilizing some cores more, but it still doesnt use it all the way. ive tried setting an affinity in task manager as well to allow the game to use all cores/threads but it still doesnt really utilize it all that much. any ideas?

Do the math like this; add the utilization of both threads of a core and count it as one. Games can't fully use hyperthreading / simultanous multithreading (virtual cores)...

6 threads are utilized above 50%, those are the physical cores, the rest are virtual cores;

so it's 52+33, 55+36, 53+28, 36+53, 28+56, 44+33 ... that's 85, 91, 81, 89, 84, 77... If you were to turn off SMT in the BIOS your cores would be utilized above 85%.

And those are old/weak cores. There is a CPU bottleneck.

Can you spedn ~130$ and upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5600?

nah im broke right now, but next upgrade will probably be cpu and a new case.

You already have SMT enabled.

That's what "makes the virtual cores", AMD's alternative to "Hyperthreading".
