Hi guys.

There was yt channel where a guy was repairing graphics card, and he got really a lot of 3080/3090 cards where he mentioned that Micron memory on them is failing.

So regarding that in my country these cards used are selling for like around 600/700 euros, so I want to ask you is it true above mentioned, and to avoid RTX 3080/3090 because mentioned issues?

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

This is the first time I've ever heard this issue.
If there's really lots of of them having the same issue I think the news should've blown up big by now, like those AMD GPUs.

Link to the said channel ?

There is approximately 99% chance I edited my post

Micron chips I bet you are on most GPU's that would mean most GPUs would fail and it's just a thing with GPUs where probably 1 in a million units fail so it's just a thing where if it is dead of arrival you get a new card.

A lot I mean a lot of cards he got  and guy is an expert on repairing GPUs..

He was mentioning most of the chip failling because not proper cooling.

OK so the reason to not get used RTX 3090 is actually legit because:

The RTX 3090 has VRAM on both sides of the PCB, one side is cooled well with it's GPU cooler and the other one just sits under the backplate being toasted. Most of these used RTX 3090 cards were probably used for mining. Now usually mining cards are fine and there is little risk if any of getting them but that is not the case with RTX 3090 specifically because half of the VRAM basically runs at it's thermal limit almost all the time which means it degrades quite fast and possibly can fail. Mining stresses VRAM quite a bit so if RTX 3090 was used for mining for a prolonged time there is quite a big chance the VRAM will die sooner rather than later.

I would not get any used card in the 600-800 range anyways because at that price point you can almost get RTX 4070ti (unless you need the extra VRAM it's a better choice than RTX 3090 anyways).

Also, what I said does not apply for RTX 3090ti which has VRAM only on the cooler side.

The last time KrisFix made a video about a trend of dying GPUs, more specifically AMD 6800 and 6900 cards where the GPU actually shattered, it was later attributed to mining and improper storage of said cards prior to being sold second hand. So it wouldn't be surprising if it's the same story all over again.

A guy is going so far and commenting bad design of particular model I remember specially Zotac series.

But is in't suspiciously cheap selling 3090 for 600 euros, I don't compare to prices in USA or other countries since here is +20 % to price?
