Any preview webcam program I could use?

Go to solution Solved by mononymous,

For showing video quality of multiple webcams

Using OBS show what the webcams are capturing spreading then into multiple scenes and automatically transition between them. For example you can have 5 scenes showing 4 different webcams. You can set OBS to show the result on an external display, this means that your customers don't have to interact with the computer to check the webcam.

Scene 1: 4 webcams in a grid

Scene 2: webcam A

Scene 3: webcam B

Scene 4: webcam C

Scene 5: webcam D

For having a test gaming setup

You can set the pc in kiosk mode. So it can only use select apps.

This feature can be found in Windows 10 (excluding Home ver.) and on the Dev channel on Windows 11. Alternatively there's probably a FOSS alternative out there.

Im working in a logitech store and I need People to try webcams. The thing is that I cant let them use camera App because they are constantly taking photos. I tryed to use LOGITECH CAPTURE but it doesnt work any more I Belive. It apears a messege that says I can use logitech G HUB but the preview in that app is too small. Any sugestion?

You could try OBS and use the preview Window!

You could have a whole host of webcams connected at the same time, and just hide/reveal them each individually.

Can you describe to us how you are displaying your webcams?

A photo or a diagram of the current setup would help immensely.

What do you want to show with the webcams?

Do you interact with your customers or does your customers interact with the webcams directly?

Is it important for your customers to use Logitech software?

Why is it an issue for you that customers keep taking photos using the webcam?

OBS could be the solution but it would depend on your current setup so that is why I'm asking all those questions.

The webcams are being displayed by a computer with samsung G3 as monitors. I want to show the quality of the webcams so costumers can see and decide if they take it  or not. The idea would be that if somebody wants to see the quality of the webcams they should ask me first. Because those pcs are also displaying aim lab so People can try the keyboards and mouse that are situated in every set up. They are full gaming set ups. Its not that important if they see or not the logitech software. We cant let them take photos because Kids mainly come and take hundreds of photos and then pick one and set it as wall paper, and its anoying to set everything to default every time every day. OBS is kind of complicated due to this problem of the Kids I Just mention. They could tuch everything if they find out computers have obs. Thats why we reached the point where we needed to instal a boring game, not even that, an aim practice tool insted of having csgo because they would stay a Long time playing games insted of Just trying out the peripherals. I Will leave you the link of the video I recorded before. I couldnt upload it because it was too heavy
