Hello! I have just built my pc and I’m using a b660 aorus ddr4 master and I’m using a 13th gen i5 and I just put the usb in and it’s reseting alot and the red led is not moving or turning off so is this normal? Also it has been on for about 10 minutes

Did you follow the Q-Flash Plus instructions included in the the 'Unique Features' Document?

Did you follow the instructions word-for-word on how to prepare the BIOS file, and how to use the feature?

https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_b660-features_n.pdf?v=b1238bb211fec3e5947e111a76c13c62

Basically:

  1. Download the BIOS file you want to update from Gigabyte.
  2. Unzip the download.
  3. Rename the BIOS file to GIGABYTE.bin
  4. Prepare a USB stick. Format is to FAT32.
  5. Put the renamed BIOS file (GIGABYTE.bin) into the USB stick -- DO NOT put it into a folder, etc. Directly copy-paste into the blank USB stick.
  6. Plus the USB stick into the Q-Flash Plus USB port.
  7. Press the Q-Flash Plus button.

You also need to use the SPECIFIC USB port in the back of the motherboard that works WITH Q-Flash Plus.

I also use Gigabyte motherboards and as you pc is now built you could try the following if you are having zero success updating bios.

use the fat32 formatted thumb drive and download the latest bios. unpack then copy to the drive. place the drive into the usb port on the header of the case. then boot into bios and select the drive then the path to the update click run etc and it should implement itself.

I have never needed to actually use the designated usb port on the back .. I have done this for several updates over the last 18 months as I have also never see the magical blinking light at the back.
