Does the Asus prime x570 pro support the ryzen 7 5800x

Yes, it is the right socket, just when i pick the CPU with Motherboard in pcpartpicker is says i need a bios update. I cant find any info online about needing to update the Bios. I just want to make shure that cpu and motherboard are compatible. If not has anyone got a Reccomendation? Bild_2023-02-02_080952116.thumb.png.82ad53389db85670e309bb161057d2cc.png

They are compatible, but the X570 boards came out with the 3000 CPU-s, the 5000 series didn't exist at the time, so in order to support the newer CPU-s updating the bios is needed.

But, since the 5000 series is so long on the market already, most (new) X570 boards should come with a compatible bios out the factory, but there's no guarantee that a board you buy or already have hasn't been sitting on a shelf for years...

I suggest you do a very quick check on the board naming. the X570 boards had a later revision where an S was added. For example I have the Aourus Master X570 but the last release of the board was Aorus Master X570s

The S Series were boards that no longer required the fan to cool the chipset so were quieter overall. also some other changes were made as adding an extra M.2 slot on some boards.

I mention this as if your board has been on the shelf for a long period you might be getting an older MB without the last improvements that were made before AMD went AM5.

That said I do have the middle period board ...I have the second revision of the board and the fan is not audible but I have 3 M.2 slots and the S has 4. Always check the brands website and use a compare tool if they have it. I hope this does not make it confusing to you but unless a board is on sale and the price is agreeable always try to ensure you have the latest revision as they will be improved to some extent generally speaking
